Frequently Asked Question for PCCs - Submitting Papers

 P2.4)

 F.A.Q.

 P2.6)

P2.5) I got some papers with e-mail. How can Paperdyne handle these papers?

There are two different situations:

1) You got the paper from an author, who did not register yet.

Please create the new author account with [Users - Add User] and choose "author" as role and "Candidate" as status. You do not need to insert a password, Paperdyne can choose a random password. (But of course you can set a custom password, if you want.)

Click "continue" to enter the list of users (the list [Users - View and Update] is shown). Choose the new author and add the new contribution with [Add Regular Contribution]. After entering the requested information (title and abstract), choose "continue" and then click at the title of the newly created paper to upload the paper file.

Now you should send the login information to the author. This can be done with [Office - Compose E-Mails - Mails to Authors - Invitation e-mail for regular author candidates].

2) The author already does have an account in Paperdyne and submitted an abstract (the contribution exists in [Contributions - List All]).

Go to [Contributions - List All - ...name of contribution...] to select the author's contribution. Scroll down this page and upload the paper file.

If you are already in the review phase and this paper is not assigned to a reviewer yet, please do this assignment according to P4.4)

Please notice: All operations you do as PCC are quiet operations (except sending e-mails). That means, that the author does not get notification e-mails if you do changes or upload a paper file. We do not want you to feel restricted because of notification e-mails.

If you want the author to get a regular notification e-mail, you can log in as author and act on behalf of him. To do this, you should log in as this author without the access restrictions of the actual phase the system is in right now. This can be done with [Users - View and Update - ...name of author... - Login as ... (Ignore Phase)]. The new abstract can be submitted with "submit a new paper".
