 F.A.Q.

 P3.1)

P2.6) How does Paperdyne handle invited speakers?

In Paperdyne, authors can have invited contributions, that are not reviewed. Please follow the instructions according to one of the following three situations:

The invited speaker is no user of the system yet.

This speaker needs to be invited to upload the invited contribution to Paperdyne. This is done in a similar way as inviting reviewers. E-mails of invited speakers are added to the system as "Invited Author Candidates". Please go to [Users - Prepare Invited Users] to add your invited author candidates. If you also add the names, the invitation e-mail will be a little bit more personal.

Invited Author candidates are users with author role, at least one invited contribution and candidate status. Please refer to [Users - View and Update] to browse all invited author candidates of the system.

If all reviewer candidates are added, you can send an invitation e-mail with [Office - Compose E-Mails - Mail to Authors - Invitation e-mail for invited author candidates]. In this e-mail invited author candidates get a personal one-time link, which authorizes the invited author candidate to register once.

The invited speaker already registered as regular author. He will additionally hold an invited talk.

Go to [Users - View and Update - ...name of invited speaker...] and set the number "Max. invited Papers" to 1.
