Before doing the assignment, please make sure, that all conflicts of interest are entered into the
system by reviewers.
Based on the bidding Paperdyne will assist you with finding
the optimal paper assignment. Please do the following prearrangements for the assignment.
1) Switch to assignment phase to avoid any further bidding of reviewers [Settings - Phases - Assignment].
2) If you plan to get 3 reviews per paper, you are fine. If not, you can change this number at
[Setting - Conference Properties - Review Settings].
3) Go to [Contributions - Conflicts by Paper] or [Contributions - Conflicts by Reviewer] to enter conflicts,
that were not specified by reviewers themselves. Please refer to P3.4)
for details about conflict types.
4) You can individually specify the number of reviews for each paper with [Contributions - Reviews per Paper].
It is especially important to define this number for papers without paper file present.
5) If you have some reviewers with a lower (or higher) review load, you can specify this at [Contributions - Reviewer Workload].
Please notice, that at least some of these fields must not be specified.
6) Now the assignment can be done with [Contributions - Assignment per Contribution] or [Contributions - Assignment
per Reviewer]. It is recommended to use the proposal generator to do the assignment, just press the buttons "Propose" and
then "Apply Proposals". If you want to preset some assignments, you can individually set or reset some assignment
proposals (Edit button) and lock them, so that the proposal generator only takes care about the rest.
7) If the assignment is done, switch to review phase [Settings - Phases - Review].
8) Check your assignment and assignment changes at [Reports / Basic Reports / Assignment History]
9) Invite reviewers to download assigned paper files and to write reviews. First you should go to [Setting - Conference Properties]
to set the deadline for reviewing, which is automatically inserted into the e-mail, then send the e-mail with [Office - Compose E-Mails
- Start reviewing phase].
